Shunt Reactors
Up to 10 kVAR, single or three phase
A shunt reactor is an inductor connected across a line or bus, in parallel with the load, to absorb excess reactive power rather than supply it. It offsets a leading power factor caused by lightly loaded power-factor-correction capacitor banks or long, lightly loaded cable runs, holding voltage and reactive power within the intended range at the point of connection. Ratings run up to 10 kVAR in single- or three-phase configurations, wound with aluminium or copper conductor depending on current and duty. The single-phase ECO sub-series covers cost-sensitive, lower-duty applications; the standard single-phase and three-phase sub-series cover the remainder of the range.
Insulation
Windings are vacuum-impregnated with oven-dried varnish for moisture resistance and mechanical stability.

Your requirement, our part number
Send the rating, voltages, footprint, and termination you need. We come back within 48 hours with a part number and the figures behind it.
Per-part specifications for shunt reactors are not listed on this page yet. A specification for a given kVAR, voltage, phase, and winding material is confirmed with the quote — use the custom inquiry to describe the load and get a matched part.
